Teach and Write Your Way to Paid Publication

You get started this way. Pick your topic, and read reviews of books on your topic, to figure which are the best. Then read a dozen or so, and pick the most important chapters and essays, whatever, talking about your field in these resources, and decide which re the best books.

Next you read the best books, maybe a dozen or so, and extract the best chapters for an anthology. An anthology is a collection of other writer’s work, with your commentary. Your commentary demonstrate your understanding of the state of the art, and also points out what is missing. Get the proper permissions, and now you have your first book.
