Special: A NonCredit, Non-Accredited Humanities Education
Although we are noncredit, and welcoming all instructors, we are planning to offer the trivium and quadrivium to adults in 2012. We are recruiting college level instructors:

A Classical Education - Proposing The Best Education In Seattle

How about a school, a college, with an education as good as anything you would get at Harvard or Stanford, with live "sage on the stage" professors, with no accreditation, no student loans, but a total tuition fee cost for all four years of $25,200? Yes, the same 36 courses for $700 each. And no class larger than say 12 students.

Where professors are paid on the medieval model directly by the students, $8000 per course collectively, and a full load of 3 courses over 3 quarters. $72,000 for 30 weeks' work. And professors who love to teach, but spurn a faculty meeting. And no tenure.

It is not for everyone... students who want an education but do not need the "medallion" of an accredited college are our target audience. People who need no credits nor a degree. Universities have learned to esteem home schooled students. Will employers come to prefer our graduates? (But wouldn't our students tend to be employers, not employees?)

This is not a diploma mill, we do not crank out degrees based on life experience; students grind out a classical education over four years and have maturity and perspicacity to show for it. And no debt. Your record of completion will be a parchment signed by all 36 instructors. Large. In Latin. And our participants will be able to read it.

As a part of this program, we have a keen interest in a Catholic theology professor with a mandatum, in compliance with canon 812.

We urge you to eMail us if you wish to join such an effort, and in particular if you wish to take a leadership position.
