Thesis statement: What you teach, and why.

Contact information.

Biography, or CV.

Blog

.pdf links functionality, for your published work.

Amazon and Google links to published work.

Research Funding Opportunity: School comes from the Greek word "schola," meaning leisure. If someone were to grant you enough money to research some particular topic at leisure, how much money would you need, for what purpose? Your website should include a request for direct funding of a research program. It does not hurt to ask. In any event, such funding would be between you and any benefactor.

If you desire to have your own domain name, eg drphysics.com or johnspiers.com, then a cheap and reliable option is godaddy.

I you'd like your own ecommerce site with your own url (eg www.johnspiers.com), then Yahoo webhostingis a good option. Yahoo is on par with Amazon.com as far as features. Of course you may limit your ecommerce transactions to check, money order and paypal, but all ecommerce sites need a merchant card bank account to process credit card payments online. Check with Costco or your bank for this service. The process for getting a merchant account is similar to getting a bank line of credit.
